This pen reacts instantly with groundwood, changing from a pale lemon yellow color to a vivid pumpkin orange, even detecting as little as little as 0.1% groundwood (with magnifier). The thermo paper and NCR paper (carbonless paper) give a dark greenish-grey color on coated side. Test the other side of the paper for groundwood.
This pen contains corrosive acid and small amounts of a toxic chemical.
Do not contact with skin/eyes. In case of contact with skin, immediately wash thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. In case of contact with eye(s), wash immediately with plenty of water and get medical attention if needed. Do not ingest.
